PUTRAJAYA - Six state elections will be held in on August 12; early voting will begin on August 8.
The nomination of candidates for the six elections will take place on July 29, according to Abdul Ghani Salleh, chairman of the Election Commission (EC).
The election campaign will last for 14 days, with the deadline for early voting applications for Malaysians living abroad on July 8, for agencies or organisations on July 11, and for the media, army, police, and election officials on July 26.
The six states have a combined total of 9,773,571 voters who are eligible to vote.
There will be 377 polling places, 3,450 polling places, 17,425 stations and channels, 260 early voting locations, and 260 polling places.
252 election campaign enforcement teams have been established by the EC, along with 985 electoral officers and assistants.
